Teledentistry Reimbursement
Real-time teledentistry encounters through phone or video chat are covered for your patients of record in all our commercial dental plans. When billing for telephonic real-time emergency services, please submit two CDT codes:
- D0140: Limited oral evaluation: problem-focused
- D9995: Synchronous teledentistry
There’s little or no cost to members for this service when members visit a participating provider.
You will be reimbursed at the D0140 allowance.
