Recredentialing Deadlines
September 18, 2024To ensure professional qualifications remain valid and current, contracted dental providers must pass recredentialing every three years to maintain participation in our dental networks. Recredentialing is initiated six months before your due date. Credentialing standards are set by national accrediting agencies and state and federal regulating bodies. Our credentialing standards comply with the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) and state and federal requirements.
You'll receive a notice via email, letter, or fax from VPoint, our third-party credentialing verification organization. Your timely response to their notice helps prevent unnecessary delays, possible claims denial, or network termination. As per the guidelines set by the NCQA, you'll need to submit your recredentialing paperwork before the first day of the month it is due. For instance, if your recredentialing due date is October 28, you must submit the paperwork before October 1.
We recommend verifying your contact information to ensure you receive correspondence requests from VPoint. If you have any questions, please contact your dental network manager.
